MICROBLADING
MICROBLADING
Microblading is a cosmetic form of permanent makeup that enhances the appearance of eyebrows by creating hair-like strokes with a manual handheld tool. This technique is perfect for those looking to define, reshape, or fill in sparse brows with a soft, natural finish. If you want effortless, beautiful brows with minimal daily maintenance, microblading is the answer!
THE DUO: MICROBLADING + SHADING
Microblading technique along with a soft, powder-like shading to add more definition and fullness to the brows. Ideal for those who are missing a moderate amount of eyebrow hair, for those who have uneven, patchy, or coarse eyebrow hair, and clients with oily or combination skin.
COVER-UP / CORRECTIVE WORK
For anyone with previous microblading/permanent makeup/tattoo of the eyebrows that was NOT done by Dr. Truc Vuu, APRN at Six Sigma Beauty. A combination of microblading and shading techniques will be performed to reshape, refresh, and cover up old eyebrow tattoo.
Bookings for this procedure must be approved before booking. Please book an in-person consultation or send us pictures of your brows to determine eligibility for this procedure.
OMBRE POWDER BROWS
Powder-like tattooing technique to mimic the look of eyebrow makeup. Ideal for clients looking for bold brows.

THE MICROBLADING PROCESS
Step 1: Consultation (Optional)
As you are booking your appointment, please read all the information on our site to ensure that you are a good fit for permanent makeup. If you are unsure which procedure is best for you, please book an in-person consultation or simply send us pictures of your eyebrows to info@sixsigmabeauty.com. We are also available by phone to help answer any questions you may have! Please call us at 860-202-2815 during business hours 10am to 5pm Tuesday - Friday.
Step 2: Measuring and Shaping of the Brows
This is done using a caliper to measure 6 points on the brows per the Golden Ratio Method to achieve symmetry according to your unique facial structures and preference.
(Allow your brows to grow out as much as possible to allow the natural shape of your eyebrows to form. Do not wax 3 days before the procedure as this will irritate your skin and affects the healing process.)
Step 3: Validating Symmetry
Once the outlines of the brows are drawn, your microblading artist will double check your brows for symmetry. You will see the outline of your brow mapping to confirm shape and symmetry.
Step 4: Brow Grooming
Once your brow shapes are as symmetrical as possible for your facial features, your artist will groom your brows and tweeze any hair that is outside of this desired shape. This is done to ensure very clean and beautiful looking brows at the end of the procedure.
Step 5: Mixing Pigment Color
At Six Sigma Beauty, we use Li Pigments to achieve a customized pigment color to match the client’s natural eyebrow hair color and skin type for a natural healed result.
(If you tint your brows, tinting must be done at least 3 days before the procedure and could only be done again once the microblading has had at least 30 days to heal post procedure.)
Step 6: Microblading
This is where the fun begins! This process is done with a swiping motion of a manual pen and a set of very fine needles, implanting pigment under the epidermis (first layer) of the skin in fine and short hair-like strokes to mimic the look of natural eyebrows.
If shading is added, soft powder-like shading will be added after microblading to add more fullness and definition to the brows.
Step 7: Healing period of at least 30 days
Please see AFTERCARE instructions that will be provided to you after the procedure and follow every step to ensure properly healed brows.
Step 8: Perfecting Session
This is the second step in the 2 steps process of microblading. The perfecting session is when we can go over strokes that faded during the healing process, add more strokes for volume, and/or make the brows thicker or darker, depending upon preference, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Step 9: Enjoy your new brows!
Rest easy knowing that you do not have to fuss over your brows every morning! Think of how much time you’ll save! Maintenance is every 9-12 months to refresh the color and redefine the shape.
