LASEMD ULTRA AFTERCARE

 Please follow the aftercare instructions to prevent loss of pigment, discoloration, or infection.

Pre-Treatment

1.       Avoid skin irritation or tanning and discontinue any topical agent. No sun exposure at least 2 weeks prior to treatment

2. Arrive for treatment with clean skin. No lotion, make-up, perfume, powder, bath/shower oil or lotion should be present on the area to be treated

Post-Treatment

1. May experience a burning sensation for 1-2 hours immediately after the treatment. Cooling with an ice pack can provide relief to the treated area. Make sure to enclose the ice pack in sterile and dry gauze to prevent water from penetrating the tissue in the treated area

2. Keep the treatment area moisturized. After Day 1, gently wash and pat the skin gently to dry for 2 days. Do not scrub the treated area

3. Moisturize daily. Usually any crust will separate naturally within 5-7 days after the treatment

4. Please do not use cosmetics which contain active ingredients, such as Retinol or AHA after treatment without prior permission from the doctor

5. Avoid exercising for the 1st week post-treatment or until initial healing has occurred. Increased redness may result from any activity that increases blood flow or body temperature (ex. Alcohol consumption, exercise, and sauna)

6. Products such as hydrating masks, serums, and moisturizers may be applied post LaseMD ULTRA treatment
